I-2204 Host Control Tape Switch (Automatic/Unattended Backup)
The Intercom I-2204 Host Control Tape Switch provides Automatic/Unattended Backup from your supports hosts to your supported tape drives via Host Control Software. The host control option includes an intelligent controller with up to four RS 232 C/V.24 interfaces and a software driver for the host. The software driver requests a tape drive for back up, makes the connection and then releases it after the job is completed. With the ability to share several tape drives with multiple hosts, the Host Control Tape Switch creates fault tolerant I/O configurations. Optional features include redundant power supply and uninterruptible power supply
(UPS).
