I-2200 Switch Family

The Intercom I-2200 SCSI Switch Family includes the I-2201 SCSI UniSwitch and I-2204 Tape Switch in manual and Host Control version (non-attended backup) and I-3300 Tape Switch for Bus & Tag environments. The SCSI switches allow for host connectivity, via a SCSI cable, to one or more tape sub-systems among multiple host systems. These systems provide greater flexibility in sharing resources to your existing systems and/or new systems.

I-2201 SCSI UniSwitch

The Intercom I-2201 UniSwitch is the most popular, low cost, manual peripheral switch to share multiple hosts with multiple tape drives. Available configurations are 1 (host) x 2 (tapes), 1x3, 2x1, 2x2 and 3x1. These reliable switches provide maximum flexibility at minimum cost.

I-2204 SCSI Tape Switch (Manual Version)

The Intercom I-2204 Tape Switch picks up where the I-2201 leaves off. Available in larger configurations (3x2, 4x1, etc.) but still has the same flexibility and reliability as the I-2201.

I-3300 Bus/Tag Tape Switch

The Intercom I-3300 Tape Switch allows you to share resources among multiple host and tape subsystems using Bus & Tag cables. Sharing resources gives users more flexibility at a minimum cost. It minimizes costs by avoiding unnecessary duplication of tape systems and increases the systems availability by providing alternate backup resources. For use with AS400, S38, IBM 9370, IBM 4300, IBM 3090 and EX9000 series processors. The I-3303 allows up to three tape systems to be shared among one, two or three hosts systems of equal or different types. It is field upgradeable to a true 3x3 matrix. Larger switches can be built by simply adding more switches in the same environment. (See our brochure for more information)
